Support for Learners Funding

Ontario Ministry of Education has introduced additional financial support to parents and guardians to support education for children and youth in these precedented times. Parents can apply to receive a one-time payment of $200 for each child aged 0 to 12 or $250 if their child or youth is aged 0 to 21 with special needs.

Assistance for Children with Severe Disabilities

In response to the COVID-19 outbreak, Ontario Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services has temporarily changed the disability-related expenses admissible for ACSD. Under the modified criteria, sensory items, technologies to assist online learning and skill development (like tablet, laptop, webcams, microphones, etc.,), supplies to support home based recreational activities (trampoline, puzzles, boar games, etc.,), personal protective equipment and supplies (gloves, masks etc.,), essential service delivery fee (including delivery charge for groceries and medication) and support to hire non-primary child care.
