The Governance Committee is currently accepting nominations for review based on the qualifications and skills that are currently needed on the board.

- To make an application, please complete the Director Application Form and return it by email.
- To nominate an individual please complete Director Nomination Form and return it by email.
Each individual nominated for the board will be interviewed by one or more representatives of the Governance Committee. The committee will make its recommendations to the board prior to the annual general meeting. The board will present the slate of qualified candidates to the membership for their approval at the annual general meeting on September 26, 2022.
We encourage everyone to apply, with the following considerations:
Desired Skills: Ideal candidates would have previous board or committee experience with the Canadian MPS Society or another similar organization.
MPS Type: We strive to have representation from all types of MPS families. Currently the board is looking for representation by those affected by MPS I H/HS/S, MPS II, MPS IIIA/B/C/D, and MPS IV A/B, MPS VI and MPS VII as well as related lysosmal storage disorders.
Geographic Area: To ensure that the board has a good cross section of people from across the country, the board is looking for representation from all Provinces and Territories in Canada.
Qualifications: Directors must be members of the Canadian MPS Society. We are looking for open-minded, positive leaders who can help fulfill the society’s vision, mission, and values.
Term of Office: Directors will be elected at the annual general meeting for office starting September 2022 for a 3 year term.
